Well, I have hoped someone would read of my plight and would respond favorably as many on here are hoping. It seems to me that this website has very few givers and many people in need. The desperation of those in need is palpable and this web site should be read by every politician in America to truly get the sense of urgency of those in need. I wish I could have been a recipient of some financial angel's generosity and had a nice story to tell. As of now, the mortgage has been missed, SPAM and ramen noodles has become a staple, and planning any trips for groceries is based upon the amount of gas it requires. I am hoping that I will continue to earn enough to pay the electricty to maintain the heat during the winter and food.

To the elected officials of the United States and the Commonwealth of Virginia:

There are millions of people in desperate need in America which Congress and the current administration has failed to assist.  After seeing the Washington Post article on the net worth of Congress, it is no wonder you do not understand the plight of the common people.  Most of you are multi-millionaires.  The average salary of the United States citizen is approximately $42,000.00  Because of your failures to allow regulators to investigate banks and other financial institutions, failure to adequately support defense of our borders and let the invasion of illegal immigrants continue, failure to control out of control housing markets, $42,000 is now barely enough to live on in the populated centers of America.  These failures over time have led to the necissity of double incomes and the deterioration of the American family.  You are supposed to represent the people.  You are supposed to be for the people and from the people.  The people are worse off because of the inactions of politicians of all parties.  There was a time when the politicians led the people.  Now, you politicians only show favor of the people during an election year.

 

I wouldf like to see the Virginia delegation and yes that includes the super rich Mark Warner to lead an effort to make Congress work.  The writer of the Declaration of Independence, the first president, the historic battles that shaped this nation all happened in Virginia.  Rise up to those standards and lead us out of this dismal quagmire of a nation into one that was promised, existed, and can still be.

Post Open Letter to your Elected Representatives

If anyone can assist me financially or with a better paying job, please write to me. I can provide my resume offline (I am willing to travel near 100% and internationally) and detail my financial situation and needs better in a one-on-one environment. I do believe in the saying God helps those who help themselves and am working with the mortgage holder and to reduce the debt load. If you can assist, PLEASE contact me.

Haven't heard from anyone either from the bank (they are supposed to call today) or here (Aidpage). I wonder if I have to be a single mom, pregnant with young kids that need gifts for Christmas to have a reply. I had been doing really well getting the bills paid and improving the credit score. As a result of the loss of my wife's job, the emergency account has been wiped clean as well as the retirement account. If anyone can help either financially or with a better paying job, I will greatly appreciate it.

For the first time, I am unable to make my mortgage payment. I am working with the lender right now but this feeling is sickening. I had to make the awful choice of food for shelter. Luckily the lender seems to be willing to assist but we are just at the beginning of the process. I hate doing this, but I have asked others with little to no results, but I do need some angel to assist me. If anyone out there can spare something, let me know. If you can provide a higher paying job, let me know.

What's on my heart and mind today? Stress! It looks like I will no longer be able to stave off sinking financially. I have a choice to pay my mortgage...if I am able...or pay the electric bill and buy groceries and gas for my job. Then the cycle starts over. I am trying to get the creditors to give a month or two grace just so that I can get the funds stocked to pay. I hate being in this state and never thought I would be. One month means forever to me. If anyone knows a way out without selling my soul, please let me know.
